My wife and I enjoyed this game when it first came out. After the levels and resets ran out, we deleted it. Now a few iPads later, we downloaded it again to face those evil pirate haters! Get this game, its hours of fun!

Best TD game I have played! The only downfall is waiting over a year for an update and more levels. Lets go guys its about time.

Beat the game on hard without paying. Save your toes for later levels. Once had enough toes I bought the upgraded flying unit that really helped. The middle levels were the hardest and a nice hard challenge. Cannon towers upgraded to electroshock with chain lighting along with oil rigs upgraded to napalm with squid arms were my go to towers with others thrown in as needed. Later levels paid for helper units with extra toes and cash.

Its fun for a little while, watching tiny boats get sunk, but it gets old. Theres not a lot of strategy involved. Just buy any tower, and put it anywhere. If that still sounds exciting to you, be prepared to shell out a *lot* of money to win the upper levels.

Alright let me start off with that this game does have In App Purchases and yes, they help a lot. However you can most certainly win without buying anything with real money. The in-game currency can help you buy gold for stages that you have difficulty with but it takes a bit of grinding. The game has easter eggs littered through the game with interactions of various things in the maps such as the guy singing. The music is good and the visuals are great. You have several forms of defense here, towers primarily of course, then a launch-able turtle cannon, a flying ace, allies and the cannon on your ship. There are a decent number of towers to choose from and their upgrades are very different and important as well as impactful in different ways. Upgrading the right units and selecting the right positions for your towers are vital to winning. Even your tower boosts earned from beating stages are instrumental in victory. This is quite possibly the best tower defense game Ive ever played. I still only have one more challenge level to beat before completing the game.

Listen, this game is beautiful. Please make some expansion games, I would pay 10$ for it up front and most likely buy 1 hero as well at some point and Im not alone.

Very nicely done tower defense. Not as refined as Kingdom Rush series, but way better than the baby-cartoonish Bloons type that seem all there is anymore. Family still played this on occasion, but iOS 9.3.1 update broke it for iPad mini 2. Wont finish loading anymore, even after reinstall. Hasnt been updated since 2014, so dont hold your breath for a fix. RIP.
